Intelligence-led
Due diligence reports
We offer a complimentary range of due diligence services in order to mitigate risk.
Our due diligence investigations enable clients to fully understand levels of risk they may be exposed to, often without the target organisation or individual ever knowing.
Forensic
Document examination
Some estimates suggest that over 90% of bank instruments [MTN, BG, SBLC] in open circulation are false, or part of a larger criminal fraud. We can verify and authenticate most bank instruments.
We deploy highly advanced IFD (Image Forgery Detection) artificial intelligence algorithms alongside state-of-the-art image analysis technology to identify digital image manipulation even with forged metadata.
Our intelligence partners have developed a robust system enabling us to detect document forgery automatically in both paper and digital formats. JPEG format gives us the possibility to combine texture analysis, metadata investigation, error level analysis, confidential built in security protocol detection with many other research techniques to detect alteration, forgery, fraud or criminal intent.
Forensic document examination can play a critical role in due diligence risk assessment and Contract Lifecycle Management.
Due diligence
Identity verification
Absolutely essential in due diligence investigations, we look beyond device-based authentication, beyond static identity data, beyond usernames and passwords.
Within the concept of identity for the digital world we capture the digital identity users create as they interact and transact online. Clients that gain a holistic view of an identity based on online and offline attributes, can seamlessly authenticate good contacts and spot fraudulent or hijacked identities, in real time.
Global
Litigation services
We provide legal investigation services to law firms, corporate and HNWI clients to promptly and efficiently provide facts relating to corporate lawsuits, high stakes legal action, fraud or reputational damage.
Working with our investigation teams and providing a unique perspective to cases both civil and criminal, our legal services oversee and help to develop pre-litigation reports and eDisclosure (eDiscovery) services.
Our pre-litigation reports also identify potential ‘levers’ to encourage opponents to enter an agreement to resolve issues whether financial or not, and are managed by our legal team to arrive at a successful conclusion.
Due diligence
Background checks
Having a detailed understanding of who you come into contact with can shape how you approach and develop future interactions.
STRATA’s personal risk intelligence links closed source data with Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) criminal records data to present a unique and unrestricted view of personal circumstances.
This is achieved via enviable working relations with specialist UK and foreign police units and global strategic partners with unprecedented degrees of intelligence and investigative expertise.
Such resources enable STRATA to conduct substantial personal risk mitigation processes to document background check reports based upon unique and trusted evidence.
Strategic
Commercial difference
Competitor background checks are limited to accessing data via publicly available (‘open source’) records.
STRATA identifies risk contained within the significant 70% gap in data analysis capabilities.
This distinct gap in data analysis capability exposes the level of risk contained within industry standard due diligence reports.
Market comparison
STRATA Intelligence
Cause and effect
Market comparison
Commercial disposition can be avoided with appropriate preparation.
The logical way to test and evaluate STRATA is to conduct a market comparison.
Firstly, request a due diligence report to compare against an existing historic or prospective KYC, EDD or bespoke case scenario.
A side-by-side comparison will demonstrate STRATA’s ability to expose areas of otherwise unidentifiable risk.
Additional
Risk Mitigation Services
STRATA is trusted by public and private organisations, financial institutions, legal entities and HNWIs to achieve verifiable risk assessed solutions.
Customer due diligence (CDD)
CDD is the act of assessing a customers’ background to determine their identity plus the level of risk they present.
This is conducted by assessing a customer’s name and photograph from an official document against their residential address. STRATA mitigates risk by implementing the most advanced facial recognition technology to confirm an individuals true identity and personal credentials.
Know your customer (KYC)
KYC is the mandatory process of identifying and verifying a clients identity when opening an account and includes periodic verification.
Financial institutions apply KYC to ensure their customers are genuinely who they claim to be. STRATA fulfils all three pillars of KYC requirements including the initial Customer Identification Program (CIP), CDD as well as the policy of continued monitoring.
Enhanced due diligence (EDD)
EDD is a KYC process that applies a greater level of scrutiny of potential business partnerships and highlights risk that cannot be detected by CDD.
Establishing a higher level of identity assurance, EDD goes beyond CDD by evaluating the risk category of potential customers and is designed specifically for dealing with UHNWIs and large financial transactions that pose greater risk to organisations or to the wider financial sector. STRATA enhanced due diligence is unrivalled across industry.
Bespoke reports and Business Intelligence
Intelligence is fundamental to the development and implementation of business strategy.
By design STRATA is a fluid investigative resource and can be tailored to meet both organisation and sector-specific due diligence demands. As such due diligence reports and risk mitigation investigations can be crafted to meet very specific operational needs. The result: the acquisition of a market-leading edge that can not be match or replicated by competitors.
Now aware of the distinct gap in data analysis capability, would you make an informed decision knowing just 8% of the risk, or upon understanding 78% of the facts?
